Back Home is a jacquard woven fabric designed for apparel, exploring the emotional complexities and sense of vacancy that arise when returning to a familiar space. This work is a testament to the intersection of textile artistry and emotional narrative, offering a unique aesthetic experience.
The surface features a juxtaposition of matte and shiny materials along with playful colors to capture the duality of nostalgia and estrangement.
A combination of different weave structures - such as double layer pockets, deflected and floating wefts - are overlayed on a plain weave base to create a fragmented yet dimensional surface, visually representing the shifting layers of memory and perception.
